Launch Your Career in the Energy Industry!

Come and learn how you can begin your career in the energy industry by attending the Career Pre-Employment Training (CPET) information session.​ This program is an initiative of the Westside Resilience Corridor.

Program Overview

The Career Pre-Employment Training (CPET) Program includes an introductory information session and ten (10) weekly skills-prep sessions designed to prepare participants for careers in the utility industry. Through the program, attendees are introduced to key concepts used in company pre-employment testing and develop the skills needed to successfully move through the selection process for a variety of high-paying roles.

This program is an initiative of the Westside Resilience Corridor, hosted by the Vicars Community Center at Community Church Atlanta, in partnership with Groundswell, Georgia Power, and the City of Atlanta.

What to Expect

A weekly 10-session skills-prep series that readies 15-20 selected participants to succeed in utility pre-employment testing and selection for high-demand, good-paying careers with Georgia Power and other employers in the industry.

Who Will Be Selected

Following the introductory information session, 15-20 individuals who are interested in entering the energy industry will be selected to participate in this no-cost pre-employment training series. 

Georgia Power will provide all technical education and training.
