Alicia B. Hill is a dynamic storyteller, dedicated to empowering communities through the power of narrative. As Associate Manager of Marketing & Communications at Groundswell, Alicia specializes in community-focused storytelling strategies that connect people, inspire action, and drive positive change. Her passion for community engagement shines in every campaign she leads, as she crafts compelling stories that highlight the voices and experiences of diverse communities.

With a proven track record in storytelling for community development, Alicia has earned recognition as an award-winning reporter and communicator. She believes that authentic storytelling is key to building stronger, more resilient communities. Through her work at Groundswell and previous roles in journalism and nonprofit communications, Alicia consistently leverages storytelling to amplify community impact and foster lasting connections among stakeholders. She was recognized for her writing by the Georgia Press Association in 2019 and the Associated Press in 2018.

Alicia’s commitment to storytelling and community extends beyond her professional life. She actively participates in local organizations, mentors youth, and supports initiatives that use storytelling to uplift and unite communities. Alicia is a member of the Kiwanis Club of LaGrange, and she graduated from the inaugural Kiwanis Amplify leadership program and the 2020-2021 Class of Leadership Troup. She also serves as an Assistant Scout Master for a local Scout Troop. Alicia studied Communication at Berry College, where she honed her storytelling skills and developed a lifelong dedication to serving communities through meaningful narratives.

Outside work, Alicia enjoys time with her husband and son, hiking, taking way too many pictures, and watching cheesy movies.
