The study provides detailed analysis of whether, and how, a utility investment program based on the Pay As You Save® (PAYS) system could overcome the upfront cost barrier to on-site solar for LMI customers.
(Washington, DC) April 14, 2020 – Groundswell announced today that the U.S. Department of Energy’s National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) has selected its pioneering resilience hub project serving the Atlanta University Center Consortium (AUCC) to participate in a collaborative research effort to develop novel applications of solar energy and other distributed energy resources (DERs) in unique locations and contexts. This partnership makes up one of just eight teams selected to join the program, which is known as the Solar Energy Innovation Network.
Groundswell is thrilled to announce that Bartees Cox, a veteran campaign and marketing and communications leader, has joined the organization’s leadership team as Director of Marketing and Communications. Bartees will oversee community engagement and marketing and communications for Groundswell’s community power programs, including existing and future SharePower™ solar projects.
The nonprofit organization Groundswell, which works on shared solar initiatives that promote economic empowerment, is now managing enrollment for a community solar project being built by NHT Ingenuity Power and Solar Renewable Energy at the Rhode Island Row apartments in Brentwood.
