  • Interfaith Power & Light (DC, NoVa, MD)

    Our Partnership: IPL is a key community partner for Groundswell. Groundswell and IPL have worked together on the commercial clean power program since 2011, helping many of IPL’s faith institutions support clean energy and save money on their utility bills in the process. In addition, IPL has worked to switch hundreds of congregants to clean power through Groundswell’s residential clean energy programs.

  • GreenFaith

    Our Partnership: GreenFaith and Groundswell’s partnership began in the fall of 2015, as part of a larger push to translate the Paris climate accords into everyday actions that people and institutions were taking to support clean energy in their community. Groundswell has helped to bring residential and commercial clean energy programs to Greenfaith’s community in New Jersey.

  • Washington Yu Ying Charter School

    Our Partnership: Washington Yu Ying is a current participant in Groundswell’s commercial clean power program and a proud supporter of wind power. In addition, Washington Yu Ying has worked with Groundswell to help parents and staff support clean energy in their homes and apartments through Groundswell’s residential clean energy programs. 

  • Cedar Lane Unitarian Universalist Church

    Our Partnership: Cedar Lane is a proud participant in Groundswell’s commercial wind power program. Our partnership with Cedar Lane Unitarian Universalist Church began in 2012 and since then we have worked together to engage members of the church and the community at-large to switch their homes and apartments to wind power through Groundswell’s residential clean energy programs.  

  • First Presbyterian Church of Annapolis

    Our Partnership: The First Presbyterian Church of Annapolis started working with Groundswell in 2015, since which time many of its congragants have made the switch to clean power.

  • Green Neighbors

    Our Partnership: Green Neighbors has used its local platform to encourage residents of the Petworth, Park View, Brightwood, and Columbia Heights neighborhoods in DC to switch to clean energy with Groundswell.

Utility Partners

  • DC Sustainable Energy Utility

    Mission:  The District of Columbia Sustainable Energy Utility (DCSEU) helps DC residents and businesses use less energy and save money. Since 2011, the DCSEU has delivered financial incentives, technical assistance, and information to tens of thousands of District residents and businesses, helping them to save millions of dollars on their energy costs.

    Our Partnership: Groundswell has worked with the DC SEU since 2011 to assist families in the DC community as well as small businesses and community organizations make their homes and offices more energy efficient and comfortable. As a result of Groundswell’s partnership with DCSEU, hundreds of families and businesses have reduced their utility bills through energy efficiency upgrades.

    Our Partnership: Groundswell and Sustainable Capital Advisors announced a partnership in 2016 to develop an innovative approach to community solar financing that takes consumer credit scores off the table as an obstacle working families previously had to overcome to join the clean energy economy. Learn More

Sustainable Energy Systems (SES)

Sustainable Energy Systems (SES) is a renewable energy design and installation business based in Frederick, MD and operating in the Mid-Atlantic region.  SES focuses on photovoltaic systems (grid tied, battery backup, off-grid) and solar water heating systems. They offer multiple options to go solar including cash purchase, solar loans and lease options. Groundswell has negotiated with SES to provide major discounts on rooftop solar for the Groundswell community.

They deliver a full spectrum of energy offerings, including electricity, natural gas, renewable energy, carbon reduction, distributed generation and energy efficiency. Groundswell has negotiated below-market residential wind offers from WGL for members of its community.
