Increasing equitable and inclusive access to solar energy is fundamentally important to achieving a just, resilient, and decarbonized future. During this session, Groundswell Vice President of Labs Dr. Elvis Moleka will join speakers from the Maryland Energy Administration, the Texas Solar Energy Society, Sandia National Laboratories, and Energy Allies to investigate various efforts across the US that are making solar more accessible and affordable to consumers, from those focused on low-income rooftop solar to those focused on community shared solar.

The National Solar Conference is America’s leading conference on the emerging trends, technology, and opportunities shaping the new energy economy.

SOLAR 2023: Transforming the Energy Landscape for All will promote the ASES overall goal to “accelerate equitable solar adoption and universal sustainable living by educating and building community.” The conference will focus on research models, examples, and tools for negotiating the challenges to advancing renewables by following justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion (JEDI) principles.
