Marta Monti, Director of Program Development, brings over a decade of experience across the nonprofit, public, and private sectors to Groundswell. Her work has included project and program management, policy analysis, qualitative research and analysis, and stakeholder outreach and engagement. She believes building resilient communities can only be done by supporting and investing in vulnerable populations.

Hailing from Wisconsin, Marta has worked in the Midwest to advance home, business, and institutional adoption of solar and storage, supporting local governments, schools, and nonprofits in their efforts to support local clean energy development. Marta’s public-facing work has made her an experienced public speaker and communicator, and she is skilled at tailoring communications for a variety of audiences.

Marta continually works to advance just and equitable clean energy economies and resilient communities. Marta holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from Saint Louis University, as well as a Master’s degree in public policy with a concentration in science, technology, and environmental policy and a certificate in nonprofit management from the Humphrey School of Public Affairs at the University of Minnesota Twin-Cities.
