Caroline Vance is the Clean Energy Policy Analyst at Groundswell. In her role, she pursues government and state funding opportunities, manages grant applications, conducts energy market analysis, and tracks energy-related legislation to expand Groundswell’s community impact.
Before joining the Groundswell team, Caroline grew her expertise in the energy sector with roles at Duke Energy, focusing on business development, and at Renewables Forward, a nonprofit focused on implementing diversity, equity, and inclusion within the renewable and clean energy industry. Her career reflects her commitment to promoting a fair and just renewable energy transition.
Caroline holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Shenandoah University. She furthered her education with an MBA and MA in Global Environmental Policy from American University.
In her free time, Caroline volunteers with DC Reduces, an initiative dedicated to waste reduction and sustainability in Washington, DC. She also enjoys traveling, reading, and sharing her life in DC with her partner and their cat.
