Paula Owens is the Vice President of Marketing and Communications at Groundswell. In this role, she aims to catapult Groundswell’s brand appreciably through brand awareness, communications, storytelling, and service to others.

Paula is a National Association for Multi-ethnicity in Communications (NAMIC)-nominated, accomplished media and communications professional and radical think-outside-the-box storyteller. She is a 20-year media/communications veteran known for her ability to develop and implement successful communications strategies across multiple platforms. Driven by her desire to produce quality content for broadcast and social media, her talents have been recognized by TBS, TNT, CNN, BET, Bravo TV, Black Family Channel, the City of Atlanta, and more. She holds a Master’s in Communications from Regent University and is a proud HBCU alumna of Alabama A&M University, where she received a Bachelor’s in English.

When not working, Paula enjoys volunteering with two special non-profit organizations: The Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation and Civitan International. She is also a proud member of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
