Join Groundswell CEO Michelle Moore at the National Congress of American Indians Mid Year 24 Convention & Marketplace. The Green Track at the convention will feature an Energy Expo covering Pathways to Tribal Energy Sovereignty.

Climate change mitigation through the expansion of alternative energy sources to fossil fuels, or “clean energy,” is inevitable and paramount in the fight against climate change. Solutions for energy production are inextricably linked to water consumption and food production, meaning the future of energy is key to the future of natural resources.

The goal of the Energy Expo: Pathways to Tribal Energy Sovereignty session is to empower and inspire participants in their path towards energy sovereignty by increasing awareness of innovations in clean energy around the world and through in-person discussions.

At NCAI's 2024 Mid Year Convention & Marketplace, attendees will have the opportunity to work collaboratively to protect and enhance tribal sovereignty. This will be an in-person convention, which will take place in Cherokee, NC at Harrah's Cherokee Casino Resort. Tribal leaders, NCAI members, Native youth, and partners from across Indian Country will gather to embark upon a new era of Nation-to-Nation engagement, which will include: proactive strategy development, advocacy, and much more.
