Join Groundswell's Energy Program Lead of Mid Atlantic in Energy Programs, Tiffani Lawson, at the 2024 Maryland Clean Energy Summit for a roundtable discussion on ways to improve clean energy equity and access for consumers.
Homeowners, renters, and landlords are all key players in the greenhouse gas (GHG) reduction agenda - especially as it relates to affordability and bill payment. Although significant resources are invested in rate relief, including over fifty percent of proceeds from Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative (RGGI) auctions and alternative compliance payments, this roundtable will discuss additional and alternative strategies, investments, and regulations that can be deployed to help consumers choose clean and affordable energy solutions. The discussion will also focus on ways to expand consumer awareness to reduce or eliminate the use of fossil fuels for cooking, heating, and cooling to use cleaner alternatives for sustainable and healthy home improvements.
The roundtable will be on Monday, October 7 at 2 p.m. and will be moderated by Ruth Ann Norton, who serves as the President & CEO of Green & Healthy Homes Initiative and a Member of the Maryland Clean Energy Center.
Hosted by MCEC and its partners, the 2024 Maryland Clean Energy Summit will convene forward thinkers in policy and research, business and utility sector leaders, capital providers, and finance partners for vibrant conversations and thought-provoking presentations.
