Energy Futures 2021: Community Resilience Through Solar+Storage

During our December 14 webinar, Groundswell Senior Program Director for Community Regeneration Majora Carter will lead panelists in a discussion on the vital role of resiliency hubs that make use of solar+storage in creating resilient communities that work for everyone. This panel will speak to the “how-to,” models, financing approaches, and regulatory considerations that enable a shift to more resilient and equitable clean energy futures.

Carter will lead the conversation about community-based programs that are advancing energy equity within the context of resiliency hubs. Speakers include leaders from Empowerment Temple AME of Baltimore, City of Refuge Baltimore and SunCatch Energy. Join us to listen and share great ideas for actionable next steps — for community leaders at all levels and our neighbors.

Groundswell is leading the monthly Energy Futures 2021 webinar series to build awareness around the findings of the LIFT Solar Everywhere program. LIFT focuses on accelerating solar access for low- and moderate-income (LMI) households. The series kicked off in May 2021, and has convened subject matter experts and industry professionals on topics related to community-solar and clean energy projects established to serve LMI households.
