Groundswell Announces Three New Appointments to Board of Directors 

All-female slate of appointments adds deep expertise in community finance, utility industry, and energy sector 

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Groundswell announced today the appointment of Paula Glover, President and CEO of American Association of Blacks in Energy, Marisa Uchin, Vice President of Global Regulatory Affairs for Oracle Utilities, and Annie Donovan, Senior Fellow at the Lincoln Institute of Land Policy’s Center for Community Investment to its Board of Directors beginning their three year term in April.. Groundswell CEO, Michelle Moore, and the Chair of Groundswell’s Board Governance Committee, Kimberly Lewis, released the following statements on the board appointments:

ABOUT PAULA GLOVER

Paula R. Glover is President and CEO for the American Association of Blacks in Energy (AABE), a national energy trade association that represents all sectors of the energy industry. Glover leads a 2000-member association with 40 chapters nationwide. The association’s focus is to represent the voice for African Americans and other minorities on energy policy, regulations, and environmental issues. Glover’s has more than 25 years of experience in the energy industry, including 15 years in both electric and natural gas distribution companies where her experiences include government affairs, regulatory affairs, and economic development. In 2014 Glover was appointed by U.S. Secretary of Energy to the National Petroleum Council. In 2017 she was voted to the Board of Directors for the Alliance to Save Energy.

ABOUT MARISA UCHIN

Marisa Uchin is Vice President of Global Regulatory Affairs for Oracle Utilities where she leads a team that is responsible for expanding markets for Oracle’s utility solutions and shaping regulatory and legislative policy that advances utility investment in technology innovation. She has engaged as a utility and policy expert in multiple regulatory proceedings related to grid modernization, incentive-based ratemaking, utility business model transformation, and demand-side resource planning.

ABOUT ANNIE DONOVAN

Annie Donovan is currently a Senior Fellow at the Center for Community Investment at the Lincoln Institute of Land Policy. Most recently, she served as Director of the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Community Development Financial Institutions Fund (CDFI Fund). Her prior positions include CEO of CoMetrics, Inc; Senior Policy Advisor to the White House from 2012-2013, working collaboratively with the Office of Social Innovation and the Council on Environmental Quality; and Chief Operating Officer of Capital Impact Partners, a certified CDFI. Donovan has published papers and articles for the National Academy for Public Administration, the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco, the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston, Forbes, the Skoll World Forum on Social Entrepreneurship, and the Milken Review.
