Kenrick J. Escalanti serves as the Creative Director at Groundswell, bringing over 15 years of expertise in design, digital communication, and multimedia. A strategic leader in creative thought and execution, he has led transformative projects at organizations such as the National Congress of American Indians (NCAI), where he spearheaded a comprehensive organizational rebranding and established the Digital Media Department, launching initiatives like The Sentinel podcast, a website redesign, and a reimagined event coordination strategy for three annual national conferences.
At the National Native American Boarding School Healing Coalition (NABS), Kenrick helped develop creative strategies that amplified advocacy and educational efforts, contributing to the development of the President's historic apology to Native Americans on behalf of the U.S. government for a decades-long federal initiative aimed at forcibly assimilating thousands of Native children. His experience also includes strategic design roles within the Department of Defense at TRAX International.
Recognized as a Native American 40 Under 40 Award Recipient, his work is a testament to his commitment to equity, cultural preservation, and service through design, digital communication, and multimedia vehicles. Most importantly, he is simply a proud “girl dad,” a brother, a son, and a supportive partner to the love of his life.
