Matthew Dong, Subscriber Services Program Manager, oversees the day-to-day operations, facilitates contract fulfillment, and manages the full subscriber data lifecycle for Groundswell. He supports Groundwell’s work in providing low- to moderate-income households with access to clean energy resources and programs. Focusing on growth and long-lasting change, Matthew scales the subscriber services for income-qualifying households.
Matthew analyzes all facets of subscriber acquisition and services for community solar projects spanning Maryland and Washington, DC. He is a connector and activator focused on ensuring the financial delivery, data management, and operational excellence of Groundswell’s projects by working with financiers, contractors, communities, and subscribers.
Prior to Groundswell, Matthew managed various reputation campaigns and Human Resources research projects at Purple Strategies and Gartner, respectively for Fortune 500 companies. His diverse background allows him to tackle challenges from different perspectives and brainstorm unique solutions.
Matthew graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a bachelor’s in psychology and a minor in consumer psychology. Outside work, he is heavily involved in his church and rugby team. He also loves to travel and try different cuisines around the world.
