Sylvester Chabuka is a social entrepreneur and renewable energy activist, who serves as the Community Engagement Exchange Fellow at Groundswell. Sylvester is the Founder and CEO of MTENGOWAKUMUNDA enterprise, a food processing company that works with rural farmers and makes nutritious food. He is also the Founder and Managing Director of CLEAN HEAT SOLUTIONS, a renewable energy social enterprise that provides alternatively affordable, renewable, and clean energy.

Sylvester is a certified Green and Inclusive Energy advocate and has more than six years of experience in community and social work. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Public Health. He was recognized as the 2022 Presidential Zikomo awardee and the 2022 TotalEnergies Startupper of the year.

Sylvester has also been selected in the first cohort of the Community Engagement Exchange Program by the US Department of State, run by IREX. The program will be based in Washington, DC, where he will learn more about community work around renewable energy. He will also take leadership courses at George Mason University.

He plans to utilize his knowledge and networks to implement off-grid projects and advocate for Green and Inclusive Energy in his community.
